Hi Mom & Dad
I remember the times when I did
something wrong, and how you gave me that look
But I also remember when you hugged me later and said I
only got mad because I luv you.

I remember when I got into your pens and
I heard you say "Don't push so hard on the tips that ruins the pens." And how I
thought you were so mean and did not want me to have any fun.
And then I remember you teaching me, with kindness
how to use those pens.
So that I would always know.
I remember how I would never clean my room, and how mad I
would get when you asked me to.
And how I would sit there and sulk
for days
Then I remember the times I would come home to find my
room clean. And you taught me grace I did not deserve.

I remember the times you and dad would
argue and fight, and how I would go into my room and be so angry at the both of you. Not
realizing why.
And then I remember how we would make
Jill sandwiches before dad would go to work.
I remember when Dad always use to yell
at me for putting my shoes at the end of the couch.
And then I remember the one day he yelled and I went to
get my shoes to find a pair of roller skates in its place.

I remember most of all the art shows you
would drag me to kicking and screaming
But more than that the time you took to teach me what a
dollar meant. And how to count.
Mom and dad, on this my 25th year, I remember a lot of
things about you both.. I remember all the times I would cry in your arms, get your shirt
wet, make you mad
And I also remember what you taught me, and how you taught
me with luv and kindness. You taught me to every action there is a consequence. To every
decision a chance it may go wrong. You taught me how to love and be loved by others.

This is more your day than mine, and for
that I am forever thankful.
I luv you both, and I remember and always will, the love
that we had when the lights would go out, when we looked for deer. All the little things
you taught me to see. And I only hope and pray, that I can in turn pass those to my
daughter. So that one day she can say, Mom, Dad, I remember
And I luv you too
Our loving daughter Jill gave this
to us on her 25th birthday...
this is what makes it all worth
while we were so blessed to have
her and all our kids......
