I'm really spoiled here, this picture was taken when
I was just 6 weeks old.....They picked me up and I
had to leave my mom and dad and 5 brothers &
sisters. It was a sort of sad day, I threw up twice
on the way to my new home......
They had this other dog there she is a Yorkie, but
didn't like me so well at first, now at 8 weeks were
are playing and I'm chewing up everything I can
get my mouth on around the house. They bought
me a bunch of chew toys, but paint brushes, pencils
anything that gets dropped, I find and start chewing.
I get in trouble sometimes, but mostly I get lots
of love and hugs.....

Tara is just so special to me...I guess now
that the kids are all grown and gone
I've gone overboard with my love for
my little girls. ;)  Now with Maggie & Tara
Patches...we have a great threesome.....

Well our little girl Tara, went to Rainbow Bridge
in September 2004 I miss her so much.
Probably more than any other dog I've ever had.
She was "mine" from day one, of course she
never had to walk much cause I'd carry her most
of the time she was so small. She was tough tho.
She was loving and had such a sweet personality.
I love you Tara

Our newest puppy "Patches"
She's a Blue Heeler Cattle Dog
We bought her in Alaska this 4 years ago this
summer. Al wanted a "pal" to go with him in
his truck and out to the shop, and from the
start she was his dog. She was so beautiful and
we are still in shock and not believing that she's
gone. She disappeared the day after Christmas
we are sure someone picked her up. She was
in heat and this "guy" was hanging around, well
she got out of the fence somehow and we never
saw her again. We spent a week putting up flyers
notifyed the Sheriff Dept., PAWS, all the local vets
never heard a word.....I think in reality we are still
hopeful.......We miss her so much, so does Maggie
they became real close after Patches disapeared.

Can't believe she's just turned 3

OK, Who Farted??????

We got Tara "used" when she
was 4 years old.
The lady said she was 2,
but her AKC papers proved she
was 4...We had to have some
teeth pulled due to neglect
and now when she gets really
relaxed that's where her tongue
hangs out!!

I coudn't bear the thought of being
without a Yorkie so six years ago
April, we acquired Maggie. 
She is just the sweetest "little girl"
you would ever want to meet.

Sometimes we take them to dinner,
we go to KFC and  they each get
a chicken  little sandwich,
just right for them.

Ever been kicked out of Wal-mart? 
well they kicked  Tara and I out
of there  one day.  it was too
hot outside when we first got her and I put her
in my purse and we went shopping! 
We were winding our way to the
check stands  and we got "caught"
right there!!!
The clerk asked if i had asked
permission to bring a dog in
there and I said no. 
She didn't get out of my purse,
all you could see was her head..:)
anyway, there is a McDonalds in
there and something about the
health dept. so I said well I better
hurry up and get checked out..
and she hurried me out. 
that part was great!

This is Tara on the left and Maggie on the right
and Cyndi in the middle. She babysat, or rather
doggie sat for us out of her love for the dogs
for a long, long time. When we went camping
she would take them for walks all over the place.
She kept them loved and spoiled.

Tara update April 12, 2002...Tara is
now 10 years old...the Vet took out
two more teeth today so I will be
chopping her little food up even littler. ;)
had these tumors on her tummy...she
weighed in at 2.3 lbs yesterday at the
Vet. today we took her in for surgery....
She is now home, safe and sound with
anti-biotics and a pillow...doing great
I didn't want to do it, but I couldn't
bear losing her either...she's such a tough
little cookie, unbelievable.....

Another camping trip..looks a little like cuddle
up time...Tara on the right is looking up at
me like you better not disturb us now, we
just got warm, Maggie is actually hiding her
nose in the blanket to keep warm.!!!!!

This is on a trip, I think before Maggie, yes
it was we went to Spokane to visit Jill
when she was living there. We took Sentra
the orange kitty over there to give her. I
will never get over how tiny Tara was.

Patches at 7 weeks picture taken in Anchorage Alaska we were visiting our daughters Jeri & Jill who lived there at the time. Maggie is in the right hand corner, she was a little wild for Tara.

June 23, 2003

This is our Patchy.....she's a sweetheart, so smart, she is
Dad's dog. But she loves all of us, and does her "herding"
of all of us including Maggie our Yorkie when we are getting ready to go somewhere.
So she's still "wild"....she's quite a character, she loves
all the animals on tv, runs through the house barking at
every passing dog or noise she hears. Everyone from Miles around is scared of her, she has a bark that would chillyou to the bone if you didn't know her. She's very gentle when not excited. She and our Grandkids get
along great.

Patches is his pride and joy, she whines for him if he
goes outside without her, she's definitely his dog

"Puppie Story"

Puppies for Sale

A store owner was tacking a sign
above  his door that read
"Puppies  ForSale." 
Signs like that have a way
of attracting
small  children, and sure enough,
a little boy appeared under
the store owner's sign.
"How much are you going to
sell the puppies for?" he asked. 
The store owner replies,
"Anywhere from $30 to $50 ."
The little boy
reached in his pocket and pulled
out  some changed. "I have $2.37,"
he said. "Can I please look at them? 
The store owner smiled and whistled
and out of the kennel came Lady,
who ran down the aisle of his store
followed by five teeny, tiny balls
of fur.
One puppy was lagging
considerably behind.
Immediately the little boy singled
out the lagging, limping puppy
and said, What's  wrong with that
little dog?"
The store owner explained that
the  veterinarian had examined
the  little puppy and had discovered
itdidn't have a hip socket.
It would always limp. It would
always  be lame.
The  little boy became excited.
"That is the little puppy
that I want to buy."
The store owner said, "No you don't
want to buy that little dog.
If  youreally want him, I'll just give
him to you." 
The little boy got quite  upset.
He looked straight into the store
owner's eyes, pointing his  finger,
and said. "I don't want you to give him
to me.
That little dog is worth every bit
as much  as all the other dogs
and I'll pay full price.
In  fact, I'll give you $2.37
now, and 50 cents a week
until I have him paid  for."  
The store owner countered,
"You really
don't want to buy this little dog.
He is never going to be able to run
and jump and play with you like
the other puppies." To this the little
boy  reached  down and rolled up
his pant leg to reveal
a badly twisted, crippled left leg
supported by a big metal brace.
He looked up at the store owner
and softly replied, "Well, I don't
run so well myself, and the little puppy
will need someone who understands !"

Patches......we are still mourning them both....
Tara passed away in September, 2003
I still miss her like it was yesterday.....Maggie
went through alot of mourning and so did I
of course, I'll never get over losing her..
